Happy December!

It's that time again, the festive season is here!  In London I can report that we've had some cold and foggy days, the mornings can be painfully freezing!  The shops are all a buzz with shoppers and the carol singers are out in full force, often collecting for good causes.

This year I've noticed an increase in handmade, vintage and buy local events which is wonderful!  I had a stall at the the lovely Little Paris in Crouch End and at Ashmount Primary School's wonderful Advent Market.

Here is a collection of beautiful finds from Etsy for your viewing pleasure =)

It's Treasure-Thon Time Again......

And here's one I made earlier =)  I just love these colours! If I was thinking about semi precious stones it would be olden rutilated quartz and imperial topaz.

I created this treasury for the 14th Craft Britannia Treasure-Thon which is taking place today.

Enjoy!

Noir October....

As you will know (if this isn't your first time visiting my blog) I love making treasuries, especially the ones featuring the work of my team mates on Etsy =)

So here is a black Autumn kind of Gothic with a hint of steam punk selection.  I love everything, but "Save the Earth" postcards speak to me (check them out and you'll understand why)!

Enjoy!

Going Green....

It's time again to give you some eye candy and the flavor of the day is green.  Above are a lovely pair of earring I made using ceramic Mykonos beads with Karen Hill Tribe heart leaf charms, the combination makes me think of rainforest plants with big broad green leafs.  The ceramic beads are really light in weight so these earrings aren't too heavy and are bold and bright =)

Next up is this lovely green Russian Amazonite and Shiana Karen Hill Tribe Wish Pendant necklace (the pendant is fair trade, yeah for fair trade).

And here we have to finish off our green feast are these elegant green and teal freshwater pearl earrings.  Lovely and light with the sterling silver wire entwining the pearls.

It's Autumn....

And here are some lovelies for you to feast your eyes on =)  Been busy busy busy since September and without a chance to blog, there just aren't enough hours in the day!  Well it's cold and raining here in London, so why not stick to doing some online foraging and discovering starting with these lovely finds!

Beside the Seaside.....

Been busy, but at last have had a chance to go to the sea side!  Here's a pic of some of the stones, shells and seaweed when the tides gone out.  I found some sea glass and pieces of pottery =)  More pic's to come....

Russian Blues......

Beautiful blue Russian and Russian inspired finds on Etsy for your viewing pleasure.

And one of my own Russian inspired designs =)

Olive Season....

Olive is more then just a colour, it can be a way of living!  I've been eating olives for as long as I can remember and use olive oil daily.  This fruit to me conjures up images of the Mediterranean and eating fresh (see salad above).  The wood of the olive tree is also beautiful!

So the above treasury is inspired by both the colour olive and the fruit, warm climates and good simple living =)

Here are my olive earrings, made with freshwater potato pearls =)

Enjoy =)

The Good Life....

It doesn't really take that much to make me smile.  The simple things in life like food, things that smell nice, a little sunshine and being outdoors, for example taking a walk, can make you feel good.  I think I'd make quiet a good hobbit =)

Walking beneath the leafy canopy of tall trees is something I love doing and eating chocolate orange cookies is another favorite.

So the above treasury is full of delicious finds, with lots of art and bits for the home.

Handmade & D.I.Y Weddings......

If your a lover of handmade then you should really pop over to www.Etsy.com if your planning to have a handmade wedding or just looking for inspiration or wedding gift ideas.

I love the idea of painting your own wedding cake toppers!  My friend used Wonder Woman and Spider Man figures on the top of her wedding cake as the couple are Marvel lovers =)

Honey Wedding Favour with a Pink Rosebud Cover and Wooden Tag

As for wedding favors, my favorite finds are little pots of honey pots and featured in this treasury are little heart shaped lavender sachets.  I love lavender!

I made these lovely Akoya saltwater pearl earrings, which would be lovely to wear to a wedding and can be worn every day afterwards =)

The style is very classic and would look great with nautical outfits!

Getting Zesty......

It's been hot hot hot here in the UK!  Too hot really in a country that's really designed for colder weather.  I really wish we had 3 months of school summer holidays here like they do in a lot of other countries, then we could make the most out of this weather.  My daughter's last day of school is tomorrow, so we are planning to visit the seaside sometime soon.

So here's my treasury filled with zesty summer energy with lovely finds in bright Lemon, lime and orange.  You'll notice I've included a couple of cute finds for babies too.

Hello Summer.....

Something very strange is going on....  I'm looking at the sky and it's blue!  I love this time of year when there's lots of watermelon, peaches, cherries, corn on the cob.  It's time to enjoy being out side, eating fresh (well that's always a good thing) and getting a little sun!  So this treasury was inspired by Damson Tree's lovely Purple Daisy earrings and Luciles Kichen's Smoothie illustration, I just loved the colour's, their freshness and together they look very summery to me!

Saying that I'm going to go eat some watermelon now, drink some smoothie and go for a walk later and buy some freshly made ice cream. Life can be good =)

Enjoy =)

Beautiful greys....

Just add a little colour  to bring it to life!  Grey is not just dull dreary days with no sunshine, it can be like the silver lining on a cloud.  In this collection I've included some accessories to brake up the grey and enhance its beauty.  I think badges are a fun way to individualize a plain bag or jacket and the Fat Kitty ones in this treasury are so cute!

Here are a pair of faceted grey Labradorite earrings, they have a beautiful blue iridescent luster.  These stones are even more beautiful in person =)

And here's one for Craft Britannia....

I love love love these colours and the contrast!  This treasury was created to feature some of my talented team members from Craft Britannia and some other gorgeous finds!  From beautiful pottery to crochet flower hair clips, search for teamcb on Etsy to find a wide variety of goodies =)

The mint green bug dress is one of my favorites and is an example of the kind of original clothing you can find on Etsy.

So what jewellery does a jewellery maker wear?......

And the answer was this combination today.  Here are two necklaces that I've kept and today I wore them together, as I think the colours really work well together.
What clothes was I wearing you may be wondering?  A simple navy vest and dark jeans.
I have small blue apatite earrings to match the necklace, I wear simple earrings more often then not =)

Little pond turtle necklace......

I still need to get better picture's of this necklace, but I thought I'd let you have a peek at it =)
This lovely pond turtle is made of fine silver and is fair trade, isn't it cute!  The beads you can see are mostly are gorgeous blue Kyanite, these stones are just beautiful!  Once I've got some better picture's you'll be able to see the lampwork beads that are very similar in colour to the Kyanite, they add to the whole aquatic nature of the necklace =)

It's the beginning of berry season!.......

As you will know by now if your not new to my blog, I love making treasuries when I have the time.  I kind of had the idea of home made berry smoothies in mind when thinking about the colours for this one.  I enjoyed looking through my British Emporia team mates shops for most of these lovelies.  I hope you like this collection as much as I do =)

Treasury of the day.....

Well I got a chance to make this treasury for my British Emporia team mates, so thought I'd share the love and post it up for your viewing/ shopping pleasure =)  The treasury's theme and colour palette was inspired by Lizze's Beautiful Art's original Blue Moon Painting and the idea of a midnight ball.  The bright day time turquoises and blues associated with summer are here in their night time forms =)

Add a touch of colour....

Here is my Super Duper collection of colourful children's finds on Etsy!  I just love them and beautifully original, what more can I say, go and explore these shops for yourself and I'm sure you'll find something to make you smile =)

I made this treasury for my British Emporia team members with the inclusion of some other talented Etsyians and the title says it all.  I just love these colours don't you and the beautiful items my fellow team mates have made and found (vintage).

Still dreaming of summer....

Ok so the idea here was to create 4 summer themes, the fresh summer's day, feeling hot hot hot, high summer flower power and Mediterranean watermelon heaven ( you can't get much better then watermelon!)

Green the colour of new growth and vitality.  Here I choose beautiful green finds with all the promise of summer to enjoy!

Created with a longing for summer with its blue skies, lush grass and that feeling of freedom that the outdoors brings, hence the presence of the winged creatures of flight =)

Enjoy!

Summer Dreams....

I love the sunshine and warmer days.  I think to really understand this you have to live somewhere like the UK!  Well I created the above treasury with this in mind.  Turquoise and orange work so well together!

And this gorgeous hints of summer was made for that transitional period between Spring and Summer, when the days are getting longer and more time is enjoyed outside till late =)

Enjoy!

Playful Starfish.....

I've been collecting beads, pendants and charms for over 20 years and I've had this lovely starfish in my collection for sometime now waiting to be used.  One of the things I love about my Karen Hill Tribe silver, other then the fact that most of it is fair trade, is that its lovely and organic with its prints and shapes.  So here I teamed up these lovely starfish with beautiful Lampwork beads, that have been handcrafted by a artisan to be reminiscent of vintage Sea glass.

I found the fossil that I've used as a photo prop on the beach, when I went away for a week with my primary school when I was 11 years old =)

Hello June.....

Well it's been a while since I've blogged and given you some eye candy, but that's all about to change!  I'm still active on Etsy and finding gorgeous items, even buying a few, as well as selling.  So get ready to do some serious clicking as I post some new treasuries of my lovely finds, as well as some of my work, grab a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy!

And here's one I made earlier.....

Well it's May and baby is nearly 2 months old, my daughter took this pic, it's a bit fuzzy but cute.

I'd managed to make some earrings this weekend so here's the jewellery eye candy =)

Cherry Blossoms....

Cherry blossoms, also know as Sakura blossoms are one of my favorite sights in spring.  They are simply beautiful.  I recently bought some cherry blossom beads in several colours
and some have found their way into my shop as earrings.

Hello April....

And the sun is shining!  Hope that means Spring is on it's way, as I'm fed up with having to put on extra heating!  So since I last blogged I had my little baby, of course he was late, but I'll forgive him as he is cute =)

So I've not been as active with the crafting, tweeting, blogging and Etsy, but I'm starting to get into the swing of it all again and I've even made a few treasuries.

As it's been so grey I've been craving some colour and taking vitamin D!  I feel much better when the sun is shining, but here in London we've had snow.  I like snow in winter, with hot chocolate!  Any way here are some treasuries full of colourful finds =)

I created this treasury for British Emporia Team, lots of yummy bright colours here.

I love red!  It is one of my favorite colours and this shade of red is my absolute favorite.  If I was to all of a sudden make alot of money I think I would buy everything in this treasury.  I'm not really into carrying handbags/ shoulder bags, but these red beauties could change all that =)

And here we have more gorgeous finds for the home, wardrobe and crafting. That coral scarf looks so warm and cosy, perfect for when the sun goes behind the clouds, but you don't want to wear a coat.   So many beautiful items so choose from!  Please do visit the treasury and the shops themselves to see more wonderful goodies!

Enjoy =)

The Gift of Spring for Mama...

Guess who Crafty Folk Teams Red Hot 100+ winner is....Lark Road Rhymes!  That shop is on a roll =)  The item of choice being a personalized Mother's Day gift I made another yummy treasury using pastel spring beauties for Mother's Day.  I think it turned out rather well thanks to the beautiful finds provided by my fellow teammies and Etsyians.

Enjoy!

Crafty Folk Teams Shop of The Week Lark Road Rhymes

This weeks Crafty Folk Shop of the Week was Lark Road Rhymes, a shop that specializes in printed personalized poems and word art.  I chose to create a treasury around "Love Deletes Hate" after it caught my eye, when a teammie faved it.  Apart from the sunshine yellow, the meaning behind the words is beautiful and kind of made me think of how light banishes darkness, which led to the idea of the return of spring and new growth banishing away winter....

Gifts for a classy Mama...

Ok so I have a thing for chocolate and coffee, but I think these colours and the theme team up nicely with Fridays Crafty Folk Red Hot 100+ winner Aunty Joan Crafts and these yummy gift tags.  The love, care and attention to detail is evident in these beautiful tags!  Did I mention that they feature sweet chocolates, I need say no more I think =)

Gift Tags - Sweet Chocolate - Pack of 3

I love attention to detail, it makes all the difference!
